שיגעון ה'קסטות' השתלט על יפן

בעשורים האחרונים התקדם שוק נגני המוזיקה לפתרונות דיגיטליים מתקדמים. זהו עידן של נוחות, נגישות, וסאונד עשיר ונקי. למרות זאת, ניכרת לאחרונה מגמה
בקרב הקהל הצעיר ביפן, לחזור להתעניין (לעיתים אף לחוות לראשונה) דווקא בחווית משתמש טכנית יותר ו"הייטקית" פחות, ולחפש את הצליל המעט גס,
ו"מלוכלך", צליל שנשמע באוזן פחות מעובד. בעקבות מגמה זו "הוקמו לתחייה" קלטות הפלסטיק ('קסטות' למי שזוכר - היה שמן השגור עד שנות התשעים,
לפני  שעוברתה המילה ע"י האקדמיה ללשון) ונגני המוזיקה האנלוגיים משנות ה-80 וה-90, הלו הם מכשירי ה'סטריאו-קסט' וה'ווקמנים'
שהיו כה פופולאריים בקרב שוחרי המוזיקה בזמנו, וכעת ניתן למצוא אותם על מדפי חנויות ציוד מוזיקה רבות ביפן.

"WalkCar" car in a bag / Made in Japan

A Japanese engineer just invented a nifty new way to travel: A transporter called a “WalkCar” that’s small, light and apparently easy to use. 

The product is battery powered and is about the size of a laptop.

It looks like it can’t hold much weight and is made from aluminum, it can apparently have as much as 120 kg on board.It can go up to 6.2 miles per hour for up to 7.4 miles. It needs three hours to charge.

David Bowie in JAPAN (1947-2016)

Woke up on Monday to a Noa's WhatsApp message "David Bowie died". It was like gut
wrenching. It’s rare to feel such intense collective grief at losing somebody we knew so well,
and not at all. Over the course of six decades, Bowie has become a universal hero;
a schoolboy from Bromley who became a Zeitgeist-setting pop culture icon.

Bowie's music takes main part in our playlist at hibino over the years.
We decided to bring some iconic images from the 'Japan period' of David Bowie and actually the Japanese point of view to Bowie.

It was the first rains yesterday after greet the Jewish New Year.
It’s still hot in day time, but we feel autumn is coming in the air and higher sky.
Autumn is the best season of reading book, watching movie and sports.
Because it will be longer night and can be relax.

Now in Haifa, 29th international film festival is going on,
and tribute to Yasujiro Ozu.
Yasujiro Ozu is famous director, known with “Tokyo Story”.

לנורן יש בד"כ שסע המחלק את הבד לשני חלקים ומעלה.
צורתו היא מלבנית והוא עשוי מבדים, צבעים ודוגמאות שונות

את הנורן ניתן למצוא בד"כ בחנויות ובמסעדות כמגן מהשמש, רוח, אבק וגם כשטח פרסומי - מאין

 Noren (暖簾) are traditional Japanese fabric dividers,

hung between rooms, on walls, in doorways, or in windows.

They usually have one or more vertical slits cut from the bottom

to nearly the top of the fabric, allowing for easier passage or viewing.

Noren are rectangular and come in many different materials,

sizes, colors, and patterns.

Noren are traditionally used by shops and restaurants

as a means of protection from sun, wind, and dust,

and for advertising space.

ניתן למצוא בהם סימולי הוריה ומידע כגון:כחול לגברים ואדום לנשים,
מים קרים/חמים, עסק פתוח/סגור, שנת הפתיחה של העסק...

  Sentō (commercial bathhouses)

also place noren across their entrances,

typically blue in color for men and red for women

with the kanji 湯 (yu, hot water) or the corresponding hiragana ゆ.

They are also hung in the front entrance to a shop

to signify that the establishment is open for business,

and they are always taken down at the end of the business day.

"אנו מתחתנים"!

הערב לפני מספר שעות, הופיעו זוג מקסים טרם חתונתם,

ממש שעתיים לפני מועד חופתם בבית הכנסת השכן.

ניגשה אלי הכלה וביקשה להצטלם בחלל של היבינו - "היינו אמורים לבלות את ירח הדבש שלנו ביפן,

אך עקב הארועים המצערים נאלנו לבטל. אפשר שנצטלם בפיסת יפן זו?"

הופתעתי מאד וכמובן שהסכמתי - הצטלמנו, חייכנו, איחלנו לימים יפים יותר ביפן.
